This Privacy Policy explains how ClientJam collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, software, reports, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using ClientJam, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Account Information. This may include your name, email address, username, password credentials, company name, billing status, plan type, and account settings.

Billing Information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We may receive billing details such as payment status, subscription plan, billing address, invoice history, and limited payment metadata. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

Usage Information. We may collect information about how you use ClientJam, including pages viewed, features used, searches performed, reports generated, session activity, device information, log data, IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for this purpose.

User Content. We may collect content you submit or generate in the Service, including business URLs, business names, notes, lead lists, prompts, generated reports, website analysis results, email drafts, and saved preferences.

Website and Prospect Data. When you use ClientJam to analyze websites or identify leads, we may process publicly available business information, website content, metadata, technical website signals, and third-party data from sources including OpenStreetMap and Nominatim.

Communications. If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, message content, and any other information you choose to provide.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, analyze usage, and improve performance. See our Cookie Policy for details.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to: provide, operate, and improve ClientJam; create and manage user accounts; process payments and subscriptions; generate website analyses, scores, reports, and recommendations; save user preferences, lists, notes, and workflows; provide customer support; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security risks; monitor usage and performance; improve features and user experience; communicate with you about updates, support, billing, and product changes; send marketing communications where permitted; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. AI and Automated Processing

ClientJam may use automated systems and AI providers including OpenAI to generate reports, summaries, scores, recommendations, classifications, email drafts, or other outputs.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential business information, trade secrets, protected health information, financial account numbers, government IDs, or other highly sensitive information unless a feature specifically requires it and you are authorized to do so.

We may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve the Service. We will not use your private account content to train public AI models unless clearly disclosed or permitted by you.

5. How We Share Information

Service Providers. Vendors that help us operate ClientJam, including Vercel (hosting, analytics, speed insights), Stripe (payment processing), Clerk (authentication), OpenAI (AI analysis), OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (business data), and customer support and security tools.

Legal and Safety Reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the public.

Business Transfers. If ClientJam is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With Your Direction. We may share information when you instruct us to do so.

6. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

ClientJam does not sell your personal information for money. We also do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and improve ClientJam. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@clientjam.app.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to: access personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete personal information; export or receive a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; opt out of marketing emails; and opt out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing. 10. Marketing Emails

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us. We may still send transactional or service-related messages.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Service functionality. See our Cookie Policy for more information.

12. Children's Privacy

ClientJam is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International Users

ClientJam is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

14. California Privacy Notice

This section applies to California residents to the extent California privacy law applies to ClientJam.

In the past 12 months, we may have collected: identifiers (name, email, IP address, account ID); commercial information (subscription plan, purchase history, billing records); internet or network activity (usage data, log data, browser data); professional or business information (company name, business URLs, lead-related notes); inferences (product preferences based on usage); and user-provided content (notes, prompts, reports, saved leads, support messages).

California residents may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information. To exercise rights, contact support@clientjam.app.

15. GDPR / EEA / UK Notice

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection laws, our legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent. 16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required.
